TECH901 HONORED AS CHARITY SPOTLIGHT AT CITYCURRENT SIGNATURE BREAKFAST HOSTED BY SERVICEMASTER

Memphis, TN – May 5, 2017 – Tech901 was honored as the Charity Spotlight Company at the cityCURRENT signature breakfast series on Friday, May 5, 2017. Hosted by ServiceMaster, the breakfast brought together hundreds of business leaders to the Great Hall and Conference Center in Germantown.

Robert Montague, Tech901 Executive Director, accepted a generous check on behalf of the organization “This contribution will provide a number of technology career training options to Memphians,” said Montague.  As the Charity Spotlight, V2 Media, produced a short profile video to showcase Tech901’s efforts. “Tech changes global lives and business everyday,” shared Katie Linendoll, tech expert and featured guest speaker. Linendoll also touched on her experience as a reporter with ESPN, CNN, and other various media outlets using technology as solutions in a number of different areas. From supporting children with pediatric cancer to fighting the lionfish in the Caribbean, Linendoll shares her first looks at gadgets and tech on her podcast, Katie <dot> Show.

Linendoll has been tech-minded since childhood and earned her networking certificates before graduating high school. She received her bachelor’s degree in information technology new media from Rochester Institute of Technology and went on to launch her professional career with ESPN. At age 22, she won an Emmy Award for her work on SportsCenter.
