Tech901 Graduates First Pilot Class

Tech901’s inaugural Computing Foundations course at theBoys and Girls Club of Greater Memphis wrapped up recently, and we are so proud of our students’ accomplishments! Each of these young men and women dedicated 8 hours every week after school for an entire school year to learn more about technology and set themselves up for future success.

Tech901 invited the students and their families to the Emerge Building for a dinner and awards ceremony on May 18. At the graduation, each student received a Certificate of Graduation, and three students were acknowledged as the top three students in the class.

At the event, Executive Director of Tech901, Robert Montague, told the students, “All of the big tech companies want skilled tech workers like you. Keep persevering toward your goals.”

Likewise, lead instructor Briahna Chambers said to the students, “This is a tough course, and you guys proved you can do it as high school students.”

Tech901 graduated 13 students from the inaugural class. The top two students in the class were Dalton Hendrix and Jesus Avalos; Micah Gamble was the class salutatorian.
