Tech901 is now a Training Partner to CompTIA and Cisco Systems

Toward its goal of offering a comprehensive tech training curriculum for Memphians, Tech901 is partnering with two key industry leaders: CompTIA and Cisco.

800px-CompTIA_-_Cert-logo-usage.svgCompTIA is a nonprofit trade association whose IT certifications help advance IT interests around the world. In fact, the CompTIA A+ curriculum is seen as a “gold standard” certification for those seeking an expertise in hardware and software infrastructure. Tech901 is now an Authorized Academy Partner to CompTIA.

Tech901 began offering CompTIA A+ training to students at the Boys and Girls Club Technical Training Center in the Fall of 2015. In the Summer of 2016, Tech901 is expanding its class offering to include a program in the FedEx Institute of Technology at the University of Memphis, toward the hopes of offering college students with technical training that complements textbook understanding.   This Summer courseware includes not only A+ but also Network+ and Security+ from CompTIA, both of which are foundational certifications that build upon the knowledge of A+ at the core of IT.

For those who complete the CompTIA Network+ offering or who have a proven knowledge of essential networking skills, Tech901 is also planning to offer the first two levels of training in the Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) curriculum at some point in the future. A certification in CCNA demonstrates one’s ability to install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot a corporate network, which is an extremely valuable skill in today’s workplace.

Thus, Tech901 now has the ability to utilize Cisco teaching curriculum to help Memphians become proficient in a vast array of computing and networking skills.

Red Hat suggests that 91% of employers consider certifications to be vital in hiring and predicting employee success.
