From Teacher to Tech Professional

Kelly Miller applied her engineering degree to her role as a teacher, but felt she could be doing more to contribute to the city. An interest in getting inside the Crosstown Concourse brought her to a Tech901 Info Session.

"The information session was too good to be true. And for the price they offer, I said, even if this doesn't work out it's worth the gamble."

Kelly's future in the Memphis tech sector all started with attending a Tech901 Info Session. She entered the program as part of the first Code 1.0 cohort was recruited for an internship with ServiceMaster immediately afterwards. Kelly has since been hired full-time as an app developer and credits Tech901 for setting her on this fulfilling career path.

"Tech901 has given me the opportunity that, in my heart, I really wanted to do. I was intimidated by the task of entering a new field. I didn't know how to do it- I just really wanted to do it. Tech901 has opened the door and allowed me to start a new career."

You don't have to just take Kelly's word for it, join us on July 18th for an Info Session and learn ALL about Tech901 from staff and graduates of the program. RSVP for free, click here.
